Plummer Peak Hike Description

This guide describes the trail to Plummer Peak using Pinnacle Peak Trail. The hike is simple but enjoyable, but there is a hands-on section near the end that may be intimidating to newer hikers.

Take the Pinnacle Peak Trail heading south. There is lots to see the whole way up! The maintained trail gives way to an unmaintained trail soon. Once you reach the saddle, the trail forks, with Plummer Peak and Pinnacle Peak going in opposite directions. Take the trail on your right. We recommend GPS if you have it for this section, but if not, just keep to the right at the next junction and then continue straight.

As you approach the summit, prepare for the scramble. The section is quite steep, but there are lots of handholds and footholds. Take your time here. After you’ve enjoyed the peak, carefully downclimb back to the trail.
