New York State is a study in contrasts. While most people think of New York State as just New York City, New York State actually has an abundance of wilderness and adventure. You have the rugged wilderness of Upstate New York, including several ranges of the Appalachian and Adirondack Mountains. You also have a coastal region, with wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Finally, you have Western New York, that borders several of the Great Lakes and Niagara Falls.
