Moab is a mecca for mountain bikers and outdoor enthusiasts who adore the two nearby national parks (Arches and Canyonlands), as well as the perfect mountain bike terrain found all around town. While mountain bikers explore around Moab, the nearby Arches National Park is a favourite for hikers, with epic rock formations.

Located on the banks of the Colorado River, Moab is a green oasis surrounded by stunning red rocks. Featuring unique mesas and buttes carved by the Colorado and Green Rivers, Moab is a perfect outdoor base for your upcoming holiday.

We love the hiking around Moab and in Arches National Park, and there are some wonderful hikes here, such as the Amphitheater Loop, Portal Overlook and Dead Horse Point Loop. The mountain biking in Moab is what draws many of the visitors. Home to some of the best technical mountain biking on earth, coming to Moab is a pilgrimage for mountain bikers. Highway 279 also offers some great road biking, and an early morning ride before the traffic picks up is highly recommended.

Moab is a great option for a holiday from autumn through spring. We love hanging out in the cool town of Moab when we’re not out exploring the stunning scenery the region is known for.
