Amalfi Coast Map

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Amalfi Coast is a 50km stretch of coastline on Italy’s southern shores, located near Naples. The coast is dotted with brightly coloured towns amongst rocky cliffs plunging into the sea, punctuated by small stretches of sand, and vineyard and lemon groves carved into the rocks.

A trip to the Amalfi Coast is certainly on most people’s bucket list - whether you come for the food, the sun, the sea, the adventures or all of the above, we are sure you will love a holiday on the Amalfi Coast.

Generally, the season for travel is May to September, but we highly recommend going in May as the sun is coming out, the villages are opening, and it is not so crowded. Although technically the weather is quite mild and a trip in winter is doable, the small coastal towns tend to close, and the climate is a bit less predictable – beautiful crisp and sunny days mixed with others full of clouds and rain. In summer the heat is extreme, and you’ll find you just want to enjoy your time on the beaches and in the wonderful Mediterranean Sea.

We love taking our time along the coast to visit the towns and take in some of the historical sites. Of course, when in Italy it’s impossible not to enjoy the food. Combine this with a break to relax at a beach and explore the area through many wonderful and varied hikes.

For such a small area, the Amalfi Coast is jam packed with activity to meet any travel plans you have in mind. A trip to Italy would not be complete without a stop on the Amalfi Coast!
