Mount Baker Map

Mount Baker is a legendary volcano in the North Cascades in Washington State. Besides the incredible North Cascades National Park, Mount Baker is primarily known as a winter ski area, famous for the most snow in the US. Summer is a great time to visit this area as well, with incredible hiking, backpacking and some great cycling.

Mount Baker is one of the most heavily glaciated volcanoes in the Cascade Range, and these glaciers give the epic views that keep tourists coming. In winter, the incredible Mmount. Baker Ski Resort gives powderhounds all they need. Nearby, you can snowshoe and backcountry ski in deep powder, with some amazing views.

Summer is not as busy, but a great time to come. There are stunning views, good trails and the crowds are less than at nearby North Cascades National Park. There is also great road bike riding around here, especially if you want to practice climbing and descending. There’s also excellent mountain biking and kayaking.

We love Mount Baker, and it makes a great addition to a vacation to North Cascades National Park.

The Mount Baker area has it all - amazing hikes, beautiful waterfalls, lush forests, plenty of great backpacking opportunities and diverse wildlife.
