Boulder Map

Boulder is a great holiday plan if you love the outdoors. We really enjoy this college town, a vibrant town and lots of smiles – it was named the happiest place in the US after all! It’s also conveniently located only 30.0mi north of Denver, right at the base of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Boulder makes getting outdoors easy, thanks to it’s spectacular location, right at the base of the Rocky Mountain Foothills. Boulder locals always seem to be heading west, however, no matter the season. Nearby is the incredible Rocky Mountain National Park. There’s also the stunning Indian Peaks Wilderness and a bit farther away is the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests.

Winter sees a relatively dry climate for Boulder, which means hiking nearby is still possible, especially with microspikes. Head west and you can find exceptional skiing, snowshoeing or winter hiking in the nearby parks and national forests.

Summer is when Boulder shines through, however. The town boasts incredible climbing and mountain biking nearby, and the hiking in the adjacent Rocky Mountains makes a summer holiday in Boulder full of adventure. Combine these outdoor activities with an exciting craft beer and restaurant scene, and a holiday here can be a lot of fun!
