Getting there

Take Highway 40 southbound from the Trans Canada Highway for 31.1mi and turn right onto Kananaskis Lakes Trail. Follow this towards Kananaskis Lakes, and turn left after 4.0mi towards Elkwood Campground. Drive past the campground for 1640ft to the Marl Lake trailhead.

Marl Lake Hike Description

Marl Lake trail is a very short, easy stroll that is a great choice for hikers of all abilities. If you are staying at any of the surrounding campgrounds, this is a great hour-long trail to take with your group. From the parking lot, follow the signs for Marl Lake for 1.0mi before reaching the lake. The trail is forested and very well-signed. It is worth it to spend some time relaxing by the lake before turning back.
