Sotcher Lake Trail

Sections of the Sotcher Lake Trail are overgrown from lack of use, so we suggest wearing pants so as to protect your legs from being scratched by the vegetation. Likewise, the mosquitoes along the route can become rather prolific, so it is suggested that you bring lots of bug repellent if you are planning on doing the Sotcher Lake Trail in the springtime.

With your vehicle parked, follow the pathway north as it almost immediately crosses, and recrosses a creek. From here, the Sotcher Lake Trail will follow alongside the same creek before delivering you to a junction within the trail. As the route is a circuit from here, the Sotcher Lake Trail can be completed in either direction. That being said, to cut down on congestion along the trail, it is recommended you complete the route in a clockwise direction.

Simply follow the pathway as it circumnavigates the shoreline of Sotcher Lake, where it will then deliver you to the original trail junction. When you have arrived back at the junction, backtrack your steps towards your parked car off of Minaret Summit Road.
