Grand View Point to Two Oceans Lake Hike Description

Indulge yourself in some of the finest views of the Teton Mountains on the Grand View to Two Ocean Lake Hike. This scenic adventure meanders through lush forestlands before opening to dumbfounding views of the Grand Tetons and the Jackson Hole before diving down to the beautiful lake. Those seeking a shorter adventure are encouraged to check out the Grand View Point Trail. Note this trail travels through bear country, so make sure you or someone you are with has a canister of bear spray and knows how to use it. Note the Grand Teton National Park charges an entrance fee; refer to the NPS website for additional information.

Setting out from the parking lot off the Grand View Point Road, make your way to the Grand View Point Trailhead at the end of the route. From here, the Grand View Point Trail travels northwardly, gradually climbing through the woodlands to the summit of the mountain. The exposed peak grants panoramic views of the Tetons and Jackson Lake in the west and Emma Matilda and Two Oceans Lake in the east. The best views along the route from here, though we encourage you to continue along the trail to Two Oceans Lake.

Gently descend back beneath the tree canopy, you will ultimately reach the overlook of Two Oceans Lake. Marvel at the beauty of the lake, then head back the way you came all the way back to the trailhead.
