Triangle Mountain Hike Description

Hike the secluded trail and enjoy the breathtaking views from the summit of Triangle Mountain. Short and sweet, this trail has some technical and steep terrain. Older children should be able to manage this path, but smaller children may have trouble navigating the vertiginous rocky sections. Note that this path is a bit tricky to follow, so we recommend bringing along the trail GPS.

When you are ready to roll, follow the Triangle Mountain Trail northwest. Hike up the semi-exposed path through sparse tree coverage. Climb up the path as it weaves you between open meadows, below woodlands and along a small creek. As you climb up, the route will become increasingly rocky as you near the summit. Navigate the rocky path up to the summit of Triangle Mountain and revel in the panoramic views.

From atop Triangle Mountain, you should be able to see the snow-capped Rocky Mountains that line the horizon in the west. Revel in the scenery and when you are ready, retrace your steps down the path back to the trailhead.
