Colorado Trail Segment 5 Hike Description

Hike across the scenic path from the Lost Creek Wilderness up to the Kenosha Pass. Reserved for experienced hikers, the Colorado Trail Segment 5 hike will push your limits. If you have an adventurous spirit and can navigate technical terrain, then you may have found you match. Travel through diverse landscapes all the while enjoying the surrounding mountainous views. Note that this route is point-to-point, so don’t forget to drop off a vehicle or arrange pick up at Kenosha Pass.

Begin your adventure from the Colorado Trail Segment 5 signpost off the Lost Park Road. Begin trekking up the trail through the forestland. Navigate the winding trail over several streams. Hike along the path and notice Kenosha Mountain on your right peeking through the trees. Continue trekking up the path lined with aspen trees. Soon the trail will dramatically drop into the forested gulch. Maneuver the stream crossings and the path will gradually ascend into a meadow. Hike along the dirt path as it gently undulates to the trail’s end.

Bask in the surrounding views from the Kenosha Pass and appreciate the journey you just completed.
