Funeral Canyon Trail Description
As Funeral Canyon Trail is located in the desert environment of Death Valley National Park, it is important that you prepare yourself for the arid conditions before attempting. Make sure that you bring lots of water with you, and that you wear a good hat and plenty of sunscreen. Consider starting the hike early in the morning to skip the intense midday heat.
Having arrived at the trailhead, make your way northeast along the Funeral Canyon Hiking Route. The trail will continue over steadily inclining terrain for the next number of miles as it approaches the highlands in the foreground. Once you have arrived at the highlands, the trail will enter Funeral Canyon.
As the elevation continues to steadily incline, the route will continue to traverse Funeral Canyon, heading northeast as it goes. The route will eventually bring you to some stunning slot canyons that are fun to explore. Having had the opportunity to enjoy the sights, backtrack your steps towards the trailhead, and your waiting vehicle.
