Chewbacca Rocka to Eager Hills Lookout

Hiking the Chewbacca Rocka to Eager Hills Lookout is a fun trail, but it is not without challenges. Although it is mostly made up of well-maintained and easy-to-navigate trails, certain parts of the route are quite steep and will give you a real leg burn. Make sure to stay hydrated and take your time along the trail, and you will be sure to reach the lookout in no time.

Setting out from the parking area, you will need to follow the trail initially to the southwest before it turns north through the forest. From here, the route winds through the beautiful forest setting to the northeast until you arrive at the rocky vantage point known as Eager Hills Lookout. Spend some time admiring the amazing views from the lookout that stretch across the lush valley toward the imposing wall of stone and ice that is the Rocky Mountains. To the east, you will be able to spot a number of rugged peaks, including Mount Fisher and The Steeples. After taking in the views, continue along the forested loop on a course towards the southwest, where you will eventually arrive back at the trailhead where you began.
