The hike around Florence Lake follows a 1.9mi out-and-back route in Langford that travels around the southern edge of a quaint woodland lake. In addition to the nice scenery surrounding the calm waters of the lake, hikers will likely be able to spot the various bird species that call the area home. Made up largely of sidewalks and a boardwalk, this is an easy hike that can be utilized by hikers of every skill level.
Getting there
To reach the Florence Lake trailhead from Langford, head north on BC-14 for 0.7mi and continue straight onto Millstream Road. After 689ft, turn left on McCallum Road and follow it for 1.2mi. Turn right on Savory Road and the trailhead will be on your right in 361ft.

Florence Lake Trail Description
More of an urban nature walk than a true hike, the Florence Lake Hike is a fun route that will provide you with some nice scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities without even leaving the city. Setting out from the trailhead, make your way along the boardwalk that borders the southern edge of the lake and take some time to appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Continue along the trail as it meets up with Florence Lake Road and follow it north for some more views along the eastern edge of the lake. After reaching the end of the trail, head back along the same route to enjoy the views on your way to the trailhead where you began.

This is mostly a walk on a sidewalk with sparse views on the lake. It was very close to where I was so I gave it a try and was a meh at best. I don't think that is what people using 10 adventures are looking for.
