Alder Creek Falls Hike Description

Hiking this trail makes for an unforgettable experience. Explore the great outdoors and reward yourself with a refreshing dip in a natural swimming hole. The exposed fire road to the falls boasts unbearably hot conditions in the summer months, so be sure to pack plenty of water. Additionally, it is important to be mindful of snakes and lizards as you trek. Don’t forget to bring a towel to dry off after your swim! Note entrance to the park costs $35USD per vehicle or $20USD per person for pedestrians or cyclists.

The Alder Creek Falls Hike is accessed via the Forest Route 22S83. Off this route, there is a fire road tracking north, which will deliver you to the falls. Using the GPS, find the trailhead, then begin your hike along the fire road. Heading north, the route ventures through chaparral brush and intersects with a seasonal stream. Enjoy the scenery of the encompassing mountainscape, and you will ultimately reach a fork in the road—keep right here.

This primitive path will guide you across smoothed outcrops to Adler Creek Falls. Admire the mesmerizing scene of the cascades pouring through the smoothed rock canyon and take a dip in the refreshing pool below the falls. After enjoying the water, retrace your footing along the route back to the trailhead.
