The Sword Fern, Shell Creek, and Yost to Pine Ridge Loop is an enjoyable and quick loop through the woods of the urban Yost Park. If it’s too short for you, you can use some of the connecting trails to lengthen your trip. The Yost Pool is in the park if you fancy a swim after.
Begin from the entrance to the park. You can do the loop either clockwise or counterclockwise. Head left onto Sword Fern Trail and cross the creek, staying left onto Shell Creek Trail. Cross the creek again and take a left and a right onto Highline Trail. Back across the creek, take two rights onto Yost to Pine Ridge Trail, which will take you back to the starting point.
