Meridian Peak Trail Description

The Meridian Peak Trail is a short and steep summit hike in North Salt Lake City. This trail is dog-friendly; however, dogs must remain on a leash for the duration of their hike. Although this hike is only 2.3mi out-and-back, proper hiking footwear is necessary, and it’s important to bring along lots of water, especially if you are hiking at the peak of summer. This trail is gorgeous year-round, but it can be especially beautiful in the fall when the Utah landscape is aglow with the yellows, oranges, and golds of autumn leaves.

To hike to the top of Meridian Peak, begin at the south end of Eagle Point Drive in Salt Lake City. From the trailhead, follow the Terraces Trail south for approximately 0.4mi, then take a left to head east up to the top of Meridian Peak.

Take a rest at the summit and enjoy the views before turning around and following the same route back to the trailhead.
