Brighton Peaks Loop Description

The Brighton Peaks Trail is a fantastic route for experienced adventures. With over 4000ft of elevation, this hike is challenging. Before embarking on this adventure, be sure to stock up on snacks and pack more water than you think you’ll need. You will also want to bring along a camera; the views along this trail and from the six summit points are absolutely breathtaking. We recommend heading out on this hike on a cool day in early summer when the wildflowers are in full bloom.

From the LDS Girls Camp, follow the trail west to hike the loop counterclockwise. At the Twin Lakes Reservoir, take the trail heading southwest to the top of Mount Millicent. Follow the ridgeline to the top of Mount Wolverine, then head east to the top of Mount Tuscarora. Descent Mount Tuscarora and stay straight ahead at the trail intersection. Take a left at the next fork to head east to the top of Sunset Peak. From Sunset Peak, follow the saddle to Pioneer Peak, then continue east to the top of Clayton Peak. After an out-and-back to the top of Clayton Peak, follow the trail northwest back to where you began.

If you are looking for a less strenuous and equally beautiful hiking circuit in the area, check out the Brighton Lakes Loop.
