While out on the trail, you will make your way through the picturesque Esk Valley, enjoying the laidback terrain that is mostly downhill. This is a one-way trail between the two villages; however, you can take the North York Moors Railway for a fun return journey on a heritage steam train that will eliminate the need to walk back uphill to Grosmont!
