Falling Foss and Littlebeck Walk Description

With the exception of the initial stage of uphill walking, the Falling Foss and Littlebeck Walk is a laidback adventure that can be enjoyed by all. Sweeping views that extend across the moor towards the coast, charming villages, and a beautiful waterfall await on this lovely journey through the North York Moors.

Setting out from the car park, you will head to the northeast and immediately begin to climb uphill. This will take a bit of effort; however, it is short lived and also provides beautiful views across North York Moors National Park that extend out to the shores of the North Sea. Follow the path as it turns to the north and takes you through the peaceful forest to eventually arrive at the charming hamlet of Littlebeck.

From here, you will turn south and follow along the banks of May Beck, winding your way through the forest until you arrive at the impressive sight of the 30ft tall Falling Foss Waterfall that is set in an idyllic setting. After taking in the views, continue along the water’s edge until you reach the car park where you began.
