Bradley and Taggart Lakes via Lupine Meadows Hike Description
The Bradley and Taggart Lakes via Lupine Meadows Hike is an amazing adventure with manageable elevation change and incredible scenery. Explore the landscape characterized by vast meadows, lush woodlands, craggy peaks, and alpine lakes. As with all hikes in the Grand Tetons, bear encounters are possible, so make sure you carry bear spray and know how to properly use it. Note the Grand Teton National Park charges an entrance fee; refer to the NPS website for additional information.
Embark on your stunning day hike from the Lupine Meadows Trailhead. Setting out from here, the Valley Trail meanders through Lupine Meadows before escaping beneath the tree canopy of mixed pines. As you wander through the wooded aisle, be mindful of fauna—if you do spot wildlife, admire them from a safe distance. After some climbing, you will come to an intersection with the Garnet Canyon; continue along the Valley Trail to Bradley Lake from here. Admire the scenery of the lake encircled by lush vegetation and framed by the craggy mountains of the Teton Range.
Beyond this point, the path will descend to Taggart Lake. Take the time to rest, rehydrate, and revel in the scenery from the lakeshore. When you are ready to head back, simply retrace your steps back to the trailhead.
