Parley’s Historic Nature Park Trail Description
The loop around Parley’s Historic Nature Park is a great hike for the whole family. This trail is dog-friendly and has off-leash zones. This is a great route for kids; however, if you are hiking with little ones, keep an eye out for large dogs who may be running or rough-housing along the trail. This trail is very well maintained and passes by three pieces of Americana: a tollhouse from the mid 1800s, the wine cellar from Dundler’s Inn built in 1864, and the remains of an aqueduct built in 1888. Besides these pieces of history, this park has beautiful, lush vegetation, chirruping songbirds, and plenty of places to play and explore.
From the parking lot, follow the well maintained path clockwise around the park past the historic sites, over the creek, and through the trees.
Eventually you will find yourself back at the parking lot where you began. If you are looking for another trail nearby, check out Parley’s Trail.
