The Ingleborough, Simon Fell, and Park Fell Walk is a beautifully scenic, yet challenging route in Yorkshire Dales National Park that will see you summit the second highest peak in the region. While out on the trail, you will climb up the steep hillside to reach the summit viewpoint atop Ingleborough before descending the mountain along the rugged terrain of Simon Fell and Park Fell. This is certainly a tough walk; however, it is doable for casual and seasoned walkers alike.
Getting there
To access the trailhead for the Ingleborough, Simon Fell, and Park Fell Walk from Ingleton, head to the east along B6255 for 4.0mi to reach the roadside parking area.

Featuring gorgeous views of the surrounding hills, moors, and valleys, the scenery found along the Ingleborough, Simon Fell, and Park Fell Walk is nearly unbeatable. While this route is definitely achievable for casual walkers, you should come prepared with stutter walking boots, plenty of water and snacks, as well as extra layers of clothing in the event of inclement weather along the exposed mountain top.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the south to traverse the rocky and rugged terrain at the foot of the mountain, before pushing up the steep hillside on the way to the summit. Reaching the top of Ingleborough, you will enjoy commanding views that sweep across the scenic undulating terrain of the Yorkshire Dales.
After taking in the views, make your way downhill to the northeast in order to traverse the summit of Simon Fell and Park Fell, keeping left along the hillside to avoid ending up at the Ribblehead rail station. Continue heading west until you meet up with the road, at which point, you can simply follow it back until you reach your vehicle at the trailhead.
