You’re not going to want to forget your camera along this route! The Photographers Point via Pole Creek Hike is a popular route in the Wind River Mountain Range that boasts awe-inspiring scenery and a great workout. Note that while the overlook is expansive, the trail to Photographers Point is forested, so will enjoy a retreat from windy weather. Note there are rocks and roots that obstruct the path, so be mindful of your footing and wear a sturdy pair of footwear.

Once your camera is charged, begin your adventure from the Pole Creek Trailhead. Setting out from here, the Pole Creek Trail will dip beneath the canopy of pines and along Faler Creek. Gradually climbing, the path will eventually deliver you to an intersection. Veer left here, and the Pole Creek Trail will guide you northeast. Beyond this point, the tree shade will become increasingly sparse, unfolding views of the breathtaking mountainscape.

After some hiking, you will ultimately reach Photographers Point. Here you will likely be in the company of several other adventurers also soaking in the beauty of the landscape. Revel in the grandeur of the granite oasis and the charming lakes nestled amongst the peaks. When you are through reveling in the scenery, head back the way you came.
