Crater Rim Trail Description

The Crater Rim Trail is a scenic hike through the woodlands southwest of Whistler that takes hikers on a route through the Whistler Interpretive Forest on the way to Logger’s Lake. This tranquil body of water can be found nestled within a 10,000-year-old volcanic crater that scarred the landscape and serves as a remnant of this area’s complex geological past. After visiting the lake, make your way along the trail as it skirts alongside the Cheakamus River, eventually crossing its rushing waters by means of a suspension bridge, before returning to the trailhead along the Farside Loop Trail. This is an intermediate length hike that should definitely be on your list if you are looking for some solitude in the forest.
