Maple Mountain Hike Description
The Maple Mountain Hike is a fun, if tiring route that will allow you to experience some breathtaking coastal scenery and a tranquil forest atmosphere. The trail sets out from the parking area and heads east through the thick, shady canopy of the forest along the edge of the water to provide some amazingly scenic views. From here, the route turns to the west and climbs sharply uphill towards the summit of Maple Mountain. Enjoy the breathtaking views across the haven of Maple Bay before continuing along the forested loop to the northwest. As you meander through the atmospheric setting of the forest, you will pass by small waterfalls and the charming waters of Rainsford Lake. Continuing on further down the trail will eventually bring you back to the trailhead where you began your journey.
