Three Divide Lakes Loop Description

The Three Divide Lakes Loop is a gorgeous hike east of Park City, Utah. This trail is very popular and shares a trailhead with multiple other popular hikes; as a result, the parking area fills up quickly. If you are planning to hike this route on the weekend, we suggest you arrive early to snag a spot and beat the crowds. If you cannot find parking at the trailhead, worry not; there is an overflow parking lot approximately 1 mile down the road from the Crystal Lake Trailhead. Parking at the overflow lot will add a mile to your hike, but we promise that the extra distance is worth it. With incredible views, and a series of alpine lakes, each seemingly more beautiful than the last, the Three Divide Lakes Loop will quickly become a family favorite. Be sure to bring a camera, and give yourself lots of time to hike this route; with incredible views at every turn, you may find yourself spending more time admiring your surroundings than actually hiking the trail.

Starting at the Crystal Lake Trailhead, take the Wall Lake Trail heading north to hike the loop counter-clockwise. Head north past Lily Lake and Ponds Lake up to Wall Lake. From Wall Lake, stick to the trail on your left at the three divides to circle past North Twin Lake, Clyde Lake, and Booker Lake before making your way back south. On the hike south, you will pass Watson Lake, Linear Lake, Petite Lake, and Cliff Lake before arriving at Crystal Lake.

Once you reach Crystal Lake, take the path on your left to hike the last section of trail back to the Crystal Lake Trailhead, where you began.
