Thornton Hollow Trail Description

The Thornton Hollow Trail is a beautiful route southeast of Heber City, Utah. This trail does not get a lot of traffic and can get overgrown. We suggest wearing long pants and close-toed shoes on this hike to avoid getting scratched up. With peaceful forest views and a lovely mountain meadow, this trail is the perfect place to unwind in the Utah wilderness. Forest fauna such as moose and deer are often seen along this trail, and keep an eye out for cattle who will likely wander across your path. Dogs are welcome on this hike but, due to wildlife, must be kept on a leash at all times.

From the trailhead on the west side of Highway 40, follow the path westward to the end of the Hollow, then simply turn around and retrace your steps back to the trailhead.

If you are looking for more to explore, check out the Clegg Canyon Trail nearby.
