Difficulty Rating:
Useless Bay is a beach walk suitable for all levels thanks to its flatness. This walk takes you along the sand past Double Bluff Beach and Double Bluffs. Expect off-leash dogs and light traffic. We recommend visiting this hike during low tide as a high tide can make the beach very difficult to walk.
Getting there
The trailhead for the Useless Bay hike is at the end of Double Bluff Road.

Useless Bay Hike Description
The Useless Bay walk takes you from Double Bluff Beach past Double Bluffs and along the beach to the point and back. This is an easy, flat beach walk. We recommend planning your walk for low tide when there’s hard sand to walk on and more room to explore.
Begin from the parking area for Double Bluff Beach, walking along the beach past the bluffs. The trail heads down the beach near the end of the point before turning back. If the tide is coming up while you hike, be sure to arrive back at the beach before it gets high enough to make walking difficult.
