Hiking the Deep Creek Hot Springs Loop Trail is a fantastic experience in the San Bernardino National Forest that features beautiful views and a relaxing reward. While out on the trail, you will traverse the rugged landscape of the Bradford Ridge Path to reach a series of calming thermal pools, before following Deep Creek to the west to reach the Mojave River Dam and looping around on the return. The terrain here can be quite difficult in places and the route is long, but the restorative waters of the hot springs are an ample reward.

Deep Creek Hot Springs Loop Trail Description

It doesn’t matter if you are looking to push yourself on a long-distance hiking route or simply want to relax in the calming waters of some hot springs, the Deep Creek Hot Springs Loop Trail is a great hiking route for intrepid adventurers in the San Bernardino area.

Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the northeast alongside the banks of Kinley Creek, following the Bradford ridge Path as it cuts across the undulating landscape and descends to the banks of Deep Creek. Here, you can soak in a series of thermal pools with temperatures above 100℉ to rest your aching bones.

After visiting the hot springs, you will head to the west along the creek and cross over the Rainbow Bridge, before arriving at the site of Hesperia Falls. From here, you will continue to the west past the Mojave River Dam and cross over Deep Creek in order to loop back around to the southeast. After visiting the Mojave River Forks Dam Overlook and taking in the sights, you will follow CA-173 until you arrive back at the trailhead where you began.
