Albion Meadows Trail Description

The Albion Meadows Trail is a beautiful hike to do with the whole family. This trail is very popular, so try to head out early in the day in order to beat the crowds. There are some steep sections along this route, so proper footwear is essential and hiking poles can be a great way to support your ascent while saving you some strain on the return. The Albion Meadows are well known in the area for their beautiful wildflowers. Head out in the summer to see lupine, Indian paintbrush, fireweed, American bistort (and more!) in full bloom.

From the trailhead, follow the Albion Meadows Trail southeast through the Albion Basin.
After about 1.6mi, the trail will take a sharp turn up to the Cecret Lake Trailhead where you can use the facilities and fill up your water, before turning around and following the Albion Meadows Trail back to the Albion Base Trailhead.

If you are looking to spend more time in the area, check out the Cecret Lake Trail or spend a night camping at the Albion Basin Campground nearby.
