Hareshaw Linn Waterfall Walk Description

Featuring a lovely woodland setting and a beautifully atmospheric waterfall that is home to over 300 species of plant life, the Hareshaw Linn Waterfall Walk is an amazing adventure for those times when you are just wanting to get outside and explore the beauty of nature.

Setting out from the car park, you will leave the village of Bellingham behind and make your way to the northeast, following along the tree lined banks of Hareshaw Burn. The woodland terrain here is fairly rocky and features several small climbs and descents, many utilizing steps, so be sure to exercise caution if the path is wet and slippery.

After making your way through the tranquil woodland landscape, you will eventually arrive at the site of Hareshaw Linn, where you will be met with an amazing view of the cascading 30ft waterfall. Here, over 300 species of lichens, moss, and liverworts thrive, resulting in the falls being designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. After taking in the beauty of the falls, simply make your way back along the same route to relive the wonderful woodland terrain on the return to the trailhead.
