Feather Creek Short Loop Hike Description

Yielding a diversity of flora and fauna, the Feather Creek Short Loop boasts an unrivaled experience. Immerse yourself in the luxuriant landscape and enjoy the sights of beavers blocking the creek and moose grazing in nearby wetlands. If you do have a wildlife encounter, be sure to maintain a safe distance! The bugs can be relentless, so wear bug repellent to avoid the annoyance. Note parking is limited, so arrive early to secure a spot.

Setting out from the trailhead, your adventure along the Feather Creek Short Loop tracks northeast along the Feather Creek Trail over the footbridge. Here you will confront an intersection, keep right here and at the subsequent junction, take a left, and you will be diverted onto the Feather Creek Trail (Short Loop). Now wandering beneath the canopy of firs and cedars, you will be guided northwardly, gently climbing. The winding path will ultimately deliver you to another crossroad- turn left here onto the Forest Service Trail 767.

This route will descend into the creek canyon and, after some hiking, will reconnect with the Feather Creek Trail. Now tracing the curves of the creek, you will be relaxed by the sounds of the babbling water, and you will enjoy the scene of beavers constructing their homes. Follow this route southwardly all the way back to the trailhead.
