Silver Peak Trail Description

Silver Peak Trail is a beautiful hike, and although you’ll need to take on a Class I scramble to reach the summit, a good portion of the trail is actually quite moderate. Watch for hornets at the peak, they’ve decided to set up shop.

The first half of the trail follows the Pacific Crest Trail. The trailhead is located at the intersection of National Forest Development Road 9070 and the Pacific Crest Trail. Go south from the intersection.

After about 1.7mi, there is an unsigned junction, so keep an eye out for it. Keep right onto Silver Peak Trail. This second portion of the hike gets quite steep, with some hands-on effort required to crest the peak. There are no switchbacks to help you out, so you’ll need to climb straight up.

Savour the view of Granite Mountain, Snoqualmie Mountain, Catherine Mountain, and more before heading back down the same way you came up.
