The Mina Riley loop connects both Mina and Riley Lakes in the Pyramid Bench trail area of Jasper. Close to downtown and easy to customize by connecting trails nearby, this trail is perfect for a relaxing half-day hike near town.
Getting there
From Connaught Drive in Jasper, head north and turn left onto Pyramid Lake Road. Turn left onto Bonhomme Street after you pass the highschool and find the parking lot immediately on your right.

Mina Riley Loop Trail Description
From the Bonhomme Street parking lot, follow trail signs for Mina Riley Loop. Be sure to check the main trail sign as there are many trails that cross at junctions in this area. After 656ft, take the trail on the left to hike the trail clockwise. There will be another junction in 2297ft, where you will stay right. Pass another junction in 1640ft and continue straight. You will come to Mina Lake at 1.6mi from the trailhead and Riley Lake at 3.1mi from the trailhead. Continue on the main loop back to the parking lot after Riley Lake.
