Lady Moon Hike Description

The Lady Moon Trail offers all the best of the Colorado Wilderness. Hike the loop trail and revel in the changing scenery as you trek along the old logging path. This trail is one of our favorite woodland hikes, and we know it could be yours too. With limited elevation gain and easy-to-navigate terrain, this path is manageable for adventurers of all skill levels. Note that wearing bright orange is recommended during hunting season.

Embark on your journey around the Lady Moon Trail from the trailhead and parking lot. From the departure point, you can track this route in either direction, but we recommend trekking clockwise. Veer left and hike up the Lady Moon Trail and under tree cover. Soon after your departure from the trailhead, you will confront an intersection. At this point, you will want to turn right onto the Granite Ridge Trail. Living up to its name, hike along the rocky ridge. From the exposed ridge, enjoy views of the Front Range and subalpine forests below. Continue walking and you will encounter a junction. Veer right and you will be diverted down the Molly Moon Trail.

Hike down the Molly Moon Trail through the meadowlands. Keep an eye out for grazing cattle in this area. Trek down the path and at the next junction, keep right. Continue along the Molly Moon Trail, and it will lead you back to the trailhead and parking lot.
