Lindeman and Greendrop Lakes Trail

The Lindeman and Greendrop Lakes Trail is a heavily-trafficked hiking route in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park that travels alongside the rushing waters of Port Creek to Lindeman Lake before continuing on to Greendrop Lake. This trail does have some rocky/technical sections, so make sure to wear proper hiking footwear and bring any necessary gear such as hiking poles or microspikes to better traverse the terrain. Due to the area’s popularity as a single and multi-day recreation site, the trail can become fairly busy. It is best to arrive early in order to secure parking at the trailhead and beat the crowds. Additionally, there are campsites at both Lindeman and Greendrop lakes, making this route perfect for a multi-day trip into the backcountry.

Setting out on the trail, follow it through the forest cover as you meander alongside Post Creek. After crossing over a bridge and traversing some small boulder fields, you will arrive at the campsite next to the turquoise waters of Lindeman Lake. Continuing north along the trail, follow the path as it hugs the western edge of Lindeman Lake and crosses over a few small boulder fields. Once you pass the lake, there will be a larger boulder field that is fairly rocky and technical. Carefully make your way across and into the dense forest cover to eventually arrive at Greendrop Lake. Here, you will have scenic views overlooking the calm waters of the woodland lake that are often frozen over in the winter. After spending some time by the beautiful lake, head back down the same trail to return to your vehicle, completing the Lindeman and Greendrop Lakes Trail.
