Wupatki Pueblo Trail Description
The Wupatki Pueblo National Monument is one of the most amazing pueblos in northern Arizona. You can stroll through this entire community, from ball courts to dancing plazas to the incredible multi-story dwelling building. The hike through this area is very easy and great for all ages and skill levels. Pick up a guide at the visitor center to learn about each site as you hike.
As with all historical sites, remember not to touch, climb, or lean on any of the features. It’s important to preserve these sites. Additionally, be prepared to pay a small fee to enter this site, which supports its upkeep.
From the trailhead, stop into the visitor center to grab a site guide. You’ll walk out along the trail, which is clear and easy to follow, checking out the vibrant red pueblo, the dance plaza, the smaller pueblo, and then the ball court and blowhole at the end of the trail. When you’re done, simply return to the trailhead at the visitor center to depart.
