Hameldown and Hound Tor Circular Walk Description

The Hameldown and Hound Tor Circular Walk is an amazing long-distance adventure that features some challenging terrain and several elevation gains, making it more suitable for seasoned walkers than beginners or those travelling with children. The route sets out from Haytor Vale and travels to the northwest to pass by the Haytor Quarry before traversing the undulating terrain to the southwest. After passing through several charming villages and traversing Hameldown Tor, you will visit the late Bronze Age site of Grimspound and follow the trail as it turns to the east.
