Cedar Point Nature Hike Description
Not only is the Cedar Point Nature Trail popular for its stunning vistas, it is also family-friendly and pet friendly! Dogs must stay on their leash, but they can accompany you to the lookout—yay! Ensure that you and your party stay on the path at all times to safeguard yourselves and the environment. Additionally, the fencing at the lookout is limited, stay away from the ledge and do not venture out of the lookout site.
The Cedar Point Nature Hike follows the Cedar Point Trail north westward toward the lookout. Begin at the parking lot and hook onto the well-marked trail. Along the trail, you will notice many signposts describing the landscape and different plants native to the area. There are plenty of serviceberry bushes, gambel oak and mountain mahogany along the path! Take your time and read up on the horticulture as you traverse the trail.
Shortly after your departure from the carpark you will arrive at the lookout point. This might be our favorite view of the southern cliffs and the famous Painted Wall. Encompassed by the Black Canyon Cliffs, you will feel miniature amongst the enormous rock walls. Breath in the beauty before retracing your steps back to the parking lot.
