Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir via Boulders Trailhead Description

The hike to Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir via the Boulders Trailhead is a great way to spend a morning exploring the beauty of the Utah wilderness. The trail up to the reservoir is rocky and loose in some sections, making proper footwear, such as hiking boots or supportive running shoes, a necessity. Forest wildlife such as ducks, songbirds, and deer are commonly seen along this trail; please do not feed the animals and give them lots of space. Though the water may be tempting, swimming in the Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir is not permitted, as the reservoir is a watershed. For this same reason dogs are also not permitted along the trail. Despite these restrictions, this is a gorgeous route just outside of town that offers a great way to stretch your legs and get some fresh air with the whole family.

From the Boulders Trailhead, follow the path east up the switchbacks to the Lower Bell Canyon Reservoir.

Take a rest at the reservoir and enjoy the serenity of this beautiful landscape before heading back the way you came.
