The Delamar Mountain via PCT Hike is a great adventure in the San Bernardino Mountains that follows along the world-renowned Pacific Crest Trail in order to reach a small summit. While out hiking the trail, you will follow along the PCT as it leads you through the woodland landscape, gaining elevation on the way to the summit of Delamar Mountain for views overlooking the San Bernardino National Forest. Don’t be afraid to do a bit of light scrambling at the end of the trail for the ultimate views of the surrounding landscape.

Featuring gorgeous landscape views that include the San Bernardino Mountains, Big Bear Lake, and sprawling woodlands, the Delamar Mountain via PCT Hike is a spectacular adventure that offers a great return on your investment in terms of required effort.

Setting out from the trailhead along Polique Canyon Road, you will head to the southwest through the cover of the forest, following along the Pacific Crest Trail as it traverses the undulating landscape and bends to the northwest. Much of this initial stretch of the trail is forested, so take some time to appreciate the beauty of the woodland setting before the better views come into play near Delamar Mountain.

Reaching a junction in the trail, you will turn back to the southwest and keep left along the path to gain a considerable amount of elevation up the side of the mountain. After a strong effort, you will arrive at the top of Delamar Mountain to enjoy some spectacular views of the San Bernardino Mountains. From here, simply turn back along the trail for the return into the trailhead where you began.
