If you are looking to spend some extra time exploring this beautifully scenic area, try staying overnight at the campground to get a real feel for the natural beauty of the San Bernardino National Forest.
Setting out from the Holcomb Valley Campground, you will make your way to the northwest corner of the campground and pick up the trail, following it through the tree cover to the north for 0.21mi. Here, you will meet up with a road and cross directly over to the opposite side, where you will once again pick up the path as it leads towards the edge of the wood.
Continuing on to the north, you will cross an open stretch of terrain and head for the tree line on the opposite side, where you will meet up with the Holcomb Pinnacles Camp Road. Following this to the left, you will continue on for 0.2mi, where you will come to a junction in the road.
Bearing to the right, you will head to the northwest through the valley for the next 0.8mi, taking in the views of the surrounding woodlands and rocky hillsides, before arriving at the endpoint of the route near a junction with another road.
