Big Gulch Trail Description
Use the Big Gulch Trail for a nice jaunt in a shaded forest, perfect for hot days. The trail is lined with berries in late summer, so you can snack as you go. There are wild oyster mushrooms to admire too, but we don’t recommend sampling mushrooms in the forest for obvious reasons. This hike is considered easy.
Begin from the trailhead on the side of the road. It doesn’t matter which way you go first when the trail splits. Both sides of the split meet up at the gulch and follow the same path. The gulch section ends near a road, so turn around here and then follow the other side of the loop back once the trail splits again.
