Josephine Lake View Trail Description
The Josephine Lake View Trail is one you’ll want to repeat, especially if you hike it in the fall when the trees are in their red and gold glory. This is a nicely moderate hike with no significant challenges to note.
The hike begins on the PCT. You’ll head along a fairly level section before beginning to switchback. You’ll cross over another trail—continue straight on.
It’s mostly a straightforward trek along the base of a ridge to the lake. You’ll cross a creek at the foot of Lake Susan Jane and another unnamed small lake. The trail ends overlooking Josephine Lake. You can turn around here and retrace your steps, or you can take Icicle Creek Trail down to the lakeshore if you want a closer look—go left and wrap around to where the trail drops down on the opposite side of the lake.
