Cold Moor and Cringle Moor Walk Description
If you don’t mind a spot of uphill walking and would like to fully immerse yourself in the barren and rugged, yet beautiful landscape of the North York Moors, then you will want to give the Cold Moor and Cringle Moor Walk a shot. This fun adventure will lead you across heather-covered hills, open green fields, and through the valley floor in order to experience spectacular views of the surrounding area. Don’t forget to wear sturdy walking boots, as the terrain here is uneven underfoot and is often wet/muddy.
Setting out from the trailhead, make your way north through the lovely village of Chop Gate, before climbing uphill across the expanse of Cold Moor. From here, the trail will turn to the west to traverse the valley floor, before climbing up to the top of Cringle Moor.

From here, you will continue along the elevated position to the southeast, traversing Noon Hill before completing the final leg of the walk back into Chop Gate.
