The Inspiration Woods Trail is a quick 1.9mi lollipop hiking route along the lower slopes of Mount Revelstoke that takes hikers through a lovely stretch of forest. Hiking through the woodland terrain, you will experience all types of terrain including dirt paths, rocky/root-covered trail and bridge crossing. Keep an eye out for geocaches, as there are several along the trail.
Getting there
To reach the Inspiration Woods Trail from Revelstoke, head north on BC-1 and take the exit for Mount Revelstoke National Park. In 1.2mi, you will find the parking area and the trailhead on the left.

Inspiration Woods Trail Description
Hiking along the Inspiration Woods Trail is a fun, family-friendly activity that will take you through a beautiful stretch of woodland landscape within Mount Revelstoke National Park. There is a bit of a gradual incline along this route, so make sure to wear decent footwear and keep an eye out for exposed rocks and roots. The trail will continue to climb uphill until you reach the loop section of the route, at which point it will be smooth sailing through the charming forest and back down to the trailhead. You will find a few interpretive signs about the area along the trail, and if you are lucky enough, you might be able to spot one of several geocaches. If you are travelling with kids, you can make this into a fun scavenger hunt for some added excitement.
