Summit Trail Description
Hiking up the Summit Trail is a full-day affair that will take you along a steep route to several scenic viewpoints overlooking the city of Revelstoke and the surrounding mountains. This trail intersects the Meadows in the Sky Parkway several times as you climb up the peak, so make sure to keep an eye out for any traffic along the road. As you hike uphill through the forest, you will have intermittent views looking out over the green valley below. Eventually, the trail will break out into the alpine terrain—a scene that will be covered in wildflowers in the late summer. Once you make it to the summit of Mount Revelstoke, you will be able to take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains from the North and South Parapets and spot the Columbia River snaking through the valley. This is an excellent trail for exploring the natural beauty of Mount Revelstoke National Park.
