The Emerald Forest Trail is a short 1.7mi hiking route located just northwest of Whistler that is set in a beautiful woodland setting. The route is also located between the River of Golden Dreams to the east and a marshy area to the west, making it a great place to spot some local wildlife.
Getting there
To reach the trailhead for the Emerald Forest Trail from Whistler, drive north on BC-99 N and make a left turn onto Alpine Way. After 623ft, make another left onto Rainbow Drive and follow it for 0.7mi, where it will veer slightly left and become Alta Lake Road. Continue on for another 984ft, where the trailhead will be on your left.
