The Comfortably Numb Trail is a multi-use route near Whistler that starts to the northeast of Green Lake and travels southwest through the forest along a meandering route that eventually ends up in the city. Popular as a mountain bike trail due to its changes in elevation, this route is also great for hiking, as the variation in terrain and views of Green Lake make for a pleasant trek through the woods. Make sure to arrange transportation to get back to your car at the trailhead!

Getting there

To reach the parking area for the Comfortably Numb Trail from Whistler, drive northeast on BC-99 N and make a right turn onto Gravel Pit Road. In 427ft, make a slight left onto Riverside Drive, where you will find the parking lot on the left in 722ft.

Comfortably Numb Trail Description

The Comfortably Numb Trail is a 13.6mi point-to-point route that is most commonly used as a mountain bike trail but can also be used as a hiking trail. The route passes through the scenic woodlands to the northwest of Whistler and climbs uphill to meander through the dense forest cover before descending into the city. As this route is part of a large network of trails in the Whistler area, hikers should bring a GPS or a good trail map in order to stay on the correct course. This is a great hike if you are looking for a longer route near Whistler with moderate elevation changes and some fairly easy terrain. Just remember to keep an eye out for any passing bikers along the trail.
